1.  How long will it take to have my internal stairs installed?

Installation of the average staircase plans takes between 10 and 15 working days to install from confirmation of order. This process includes site measures, shop drawings, manufacture, delivery and installation. More detailed work, such as geometric (spiral) designs can take as much as 6 to 8 weeks to complete due to the additional labour and attention to detail required.

2.  Do you supply internal stairs and baluster designs outside Victoria?

Certainly! We can supply quality staircase plans and components (such as timber balusters) to anywhere in Australia. We currently have regular customers in New South Wales and Tasmania.

3.  How much do staircase designs cost?

The average cost is approximately $4000; however, staircase plans and designs vary in price from $1000, for a basic straight flight, to $30,000, for a customised original. You can click here to view our range of premium, midrange and budget stairs.

4.  Do you deal direct to the public?

While we enjoy working with many award winning builders, architects and retailers throughout Australia, we welcome owner-builders to deal direct and join our list of satisfied clients.

5.  I don’t have any plans, can you help?

Absolutely. We can arrange to meet with you on-site or, alternatively, pop into our showroom and we can design a staircase to meet your expectations. From budget stairs to our Ready Stair™ range, we’ve got all your stair solutions.

6.  What information do I need in order to ask for a quote?

Generally, all we need is a copy of the ground floor and first floor plans together with a material specification. Not sure what material to use? That’s okay, we have a great range of timber balusters and baluster designs for you to choose from. Feel free to give our office a call to discuss the many options available.

7.  I have an existing internal staircase that I want to replace, can you help?

We can arrange to remove the existing stairs and replace it with a new one that will enhance the look and feel of your home.

8.  What is the best timber to use?

For stairs that are to have a paint or carpet finish, we recommend a combination of pine and mdf materials that provide both a cost effective and durable outcome.
For polished stairs, we recommend hard wearing timbers like Victorian Ash and American Oak and have a large range to choose from. Visit our staircase materials page for more information.
9.  Can I do the installation myself?
Most of our products can be installed by a skilled handyman or a qualified carpenter. However we recommend our highly qualified, professional team install your staircase plans for peace of mind.

10.   What are budget stairs?

Ranging from $1000-$3000, our budget stairs are great value for money and an affordable option for owner builders. You still receive the same consistent high quality, but at a cost effective price.
